Entering Chulo reminded me of some of the halfway-posh restaurants I've visited in South Delhi. It's tucked away on a second floor with some hastily printed direction signs pointing towards it, but once inside, the restaurant is spacious and dimly lit, complete with a TV showing a video of a fireplace.
We were really disappointed when Asiana Fusion closed this year. However....once we had the dumplings and the lamb curry at Chulo we realized that all was not lost! Both versions of the dumplings are outstanding, we love that the chef is not afraid of adding spice & heat.
Oh no! Says that it's closed! Went there with some friends and had an amazing time. There was some folk dancing and a live band when we went, what a treat! The dishes are appropriately spicy, and their dumplings are nice and hearty, and seem homemade.
Chulo is a delicious and delightful find in Watertown. It's a discreetly hidden, 2nd floor walk up Nepalese restaurant.Up front they have a bar with a stage area for a band. The back is a small dining area. They were playing live Nepalese music on a Saturday evening (website says live music on Mon, Fri, Sat).
